These Terms of Service govern your use of PackMate, operated by Miller Systems Inc. By using PackMate, you agree to these terms.

1. Description of Service

PackMate is a travel packing list app that helps you plan and organize what to pack for trips. It is available as a web app at packmate.millersystems.net and as an Android app.

2. Free and Pro Features

PackMate offers a free tier and a Pro tier:

Free features:

• Create and manage manual packing lists
• Organize items by traveler
• Access your trips from any device

Pro features (requires a contribution):

• AI-generated packing lists tailored to your destination, travel dates, and planned activities
• Weather forecasts for your trip dates
• Trip collaboration — share packing lists with other travelers

3. Pro Contributions (Pay What You Want)

Contributions are processed securely by Stripe. By making a contribution, you agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.

All contributions are final. Because Pro access is granted immediately upon payment, we generally do not offer refunds. If you believe there was an error with your payment, please contact us at packmate@millersystems.net and we will do our best to resolve it.

4. Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You agree not to use PackMate for any unlawful purpose.
• You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the trip data and packing lists you create in PackMate. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Profile tab in the app.

6. AI-Generated Content

Pro users can generate packing list suggestions using Google Gemini AI. These suggestions are provided as a convenience. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated packing lists for any specific trip or situation. Always use your own judgment when packing.

7. Service Availability

PackMate is a personal project operated by Miller Systems Inc. We make reasonable efforts to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service may be updated, changed, or discontinued at any time.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

PackMate is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or meet your specific requirements.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Miller Systems Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of PackMate, including but not limited to loss of data or missed travel items.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of PackMate after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
